Forum Education is one of the country’s leading education consultancies. We support multi-academy trusts, schools and other education sector organisations with strategic consultancy, organisational and leadership development, and operational support – including in areas such as marketing and communications, recruitment, governance training, HR, school improvement, and bid writing.

Forum’s reach is national. We run four regional MAT CEO networks and an annual national early headship conference. We have provided consultancy support for some of country’s largest and most successful trusts and have delivered training on behalf of organisations such as the Department for Education and the National College for Teaching and Leadership. Our work and thinking has been covered in a wide range of education sector publications.

 

  • Consultancy and organisational development

Forum Education provides educations sector organisations with insight, expertise and advice around organisational development and change management. We have provided research, advice, strategic planning and associated training to numerous MATs and schools across the country as they plan ahead and look to make the most of change in the best interest of their pupils.

We provide support on visioning and strategic planning, business planning, restructures, stakeholder engagement and consultation, recruitment and retention, bid writing (see below), and much more.

  • Training and development

Forum Education provides a wide range of training and development support for school leaders, executives and governors. Our four regional MAT networks ensure that CEOs and executives across the country are well briefed on the latest education sector developments and able to access high quality opportunities for learning and reflection on key areas of successful organisational development. Our annual national early headship conference has developed a strong reputation as an excellent induction opportunity for new headteachers and our suite of provision for academy trustees is ensuring that this important group are well supported as their organisations grow rapidly.

Forum also provides bespoke support to trusts and groups of schools, from delivering leadership development resources to some of the country’s most successful and well-established trusts to delivering a new headteacher programme for others. We also provide bespoke training for MAT trustees and executives teams and regularly design and deliver programmes and resources on behalf of teaching school alliances and government agencies.

 

  • Marketing and communications

We believe that the development of a strong brand and clear, engaging communications is a key factor in the success of all schools and multi-academy trusts. By developing and delivering an exceptional marketing and communication strategy, schools are able to attract the very best candidates to apply for vacancies and ensure that schools develop a positive relationship with parents and prospective parents.

Our approach to marketing and communications is grounded in our ongoing research into marketing and communications in schools, our deep understanding of the sector and changes in policy, and our credibility which has been developed through working with trusts schools on these issues over many years.

We design and deliver marketing and communications strategies, consultations, prospectuses and job application packs, marketing of back office services (including CPD), websites and social media strategy.

 

  • Media management

Forum supports schools to manage and develop positive relationships with the media, advising on the best course of action whether it be in a crisis or where there is something to celebrate. We support schools and trusts to manage highly sensitive and challenging media issues in a thoughtful, well-informed and highly professional way, ensuring that organisational reputation is maintained throughout. We also support schools and trusts to promote their work and develop their reputations through opportunities in local, regional and national media.

 

  • Bid writing

Forum provides bid writing services to academy trusts and schools. We have successfully supported our clients in undertaking the necessary planning, project management, research, consultation, and writing associated with bids. These projects include successful bids for free schools and new provision, growth funding, school improvement funding, and to embark on new and exciting initiatives such as research schools. We also support our clients to stay ahead of new funding opportunities as and when they emerge.

 

  • Recruitment and retention strategy

Forum Education has undertaken extensive research and provided support to academy trusts and schools on recruitment and retention strategy, including developing reputations as ’employers of choice’.

  • Monitoring and analysis

Forum Education provides a weekly education-sector briefing service, covering key developments in research, policy, strategy, development opportunities and more. A number of MATs and other providers subscribe to our briefing service which can be accessed at an ‘individual’, SLT, or ‘MAT wide’ level.
